The Tank with a twistâŠ
The Tank Basculante is one of the older members of the Tank family, being unveiled by Cartier in 1933. This lovely example dates to the 1990s and features a quartz movement in the steel case that measures 22x32mm. The white dial features black Roman numerals and the âsecretâ Cartier signature in the X numeral. The blue cabochon at 12 oâclock is used to reverse the inner case of the watch through a 360 degree rotation, to protect the glass in a similar vein to the JLC Reverso.
The watch can also double as a table clock. We love these watches and you can read our can read our Basculante Spot On here. The watch will come on the pictured leather strap that has the original Cartier steel buckle and it has been fitted with a new battery by our watchmaker.
