Rolex Datejust 1601/3 Silver Linen Dial in Steel and Gold

This is a cool two-tone Datejust — or Rolesor, to use the correct Rolex term. Steel and gold Rolex Oysters never get boring, offering a fresh twist on one of the brand’s most classic designs.

 

In this example, the textured dial adds an extra touch of character, and finding Datejusts with unusual dials is becoming increasingly difficult. The pie-pan–style silver linen finish is superb, and the dial features the added bonus of distinctive, oversized “fat” hour markers at six and nine.

 

The case is in strong condition, and the yellow gold bezel remains well-defined. The Oyster bracelet, reference 78363, features 458 end links and a clasp stamped “GP12.” It is in excellent overall condition. The watch, with its slow-set movement, has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
