The Explorer Ref. 1016 is a true classic — a no-nonsense, matte dial sports watch housed in a timeless 36mm Oyster case, distinguished by its iconic 3-6-9 hour markers.

 

This particular example stands out with a strong, well-preserved case and evenly shaped lugs throughout. The Mk 4 matte dial features beautifully aged cream lume on the numerals and is in excellent condition overall.

 

It’s fitted with a solid-link Oyster bracelet (reference 78360) in great condition, complete with 580 end links and a clasp stamped ‘RS5’. The movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and is running smoothly.
