The Explorer has been an important reference in the Rolex catalogue ever since the early 1950s, when prototypes of the watches were worn on the Everest expedition of 1953.

The watch gets its nickname due to the Rolex coronet being shaped like the footprint of a frog! We believe that the hands have been stabilised at some point in the past.
The case is in great condition. The watch is fitted with Jubilee bracelet reference 6251H with reference 555 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
