Longines "Chronostop" ref 5824 with Archive Extract
We love finding super cool āoff the beaten trackā vintage watches and this vintage Longines pilotās watch is a classic. And itās bigā¦really big!
This is a very interesting Longines chronograph that dates to 1950/51 that was envisaged as a pilotās watch, as demonstrated by the bold Arabic hours and large onion winding crown. The steel case measures a huge 47.5mm and has a single chronograph pusher.
The black dial has luminous arabic numerals, an inner rotating bezel calibrated to 60 minutes and two ārunning secondsā hands - one for counting seconds and the other one is actually a minute counter.
The watch will be accompanied by an extract of archives stating a sale to Knyath, the Longines agent for Israel, in March 1951. The watch will come on the pictured Bulang and Sons nato strap and the movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
