Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 16520 U-series MK4 Black Dial

The Rolex Daytona is a true giant in the world of watch collecting, with post-1988 Perpetual Daytonas having firmly established themselves as modern collector icons. We are pleased to present this black-dial example from 1998, offered in beautiful and highly original condition.

 

The black dial is flawless, and the sub-dials have aged to a warm, mellow brown tone over time—adding considerable character and making this a particularly attractive example.

 

The dial features tritium lume, and the “6” in the hour counter at six o’clock is correctly oriented, a configuration traditionally referred to as the Mk4 dial. The watch is fitted with its original solid-link Oyster bracelet, reference 78390, which remains in excellent condition and is accompanied by a clasp stamped “U4” and correct 503B end links.

 

This Daytona has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and is ready to be enjoyed.
